R09 Volcanic Anthracite: near-black KORDEKO flexible stone for contrast and minimalism

R09 Volcanic Anthracite is one of the most distinctive models in the ROCK STONE series. It has a deep anthracite, almost black shade with black and brown mineral flecks that keep the surface from looking flat or monochrome.

A dark facade defined by its relief

On a smooth surface, an almost black colour can look excessively heavy. R09 softens this effect through its pronounced stone relief. The relief breaks up a large surface into areas of light and shadow. Even an entirely dark facade therefore does not become one continuous dark mass. In sunny weather, projections and recesses become more visible; on an overcast day, the surface looks calmer and more unified.

Expressive stone without the weight of traditional cladding

Despite its visually heavy appearance, the cladding itself remains lightweight. KORDEKO's technical description specifies an approximate weight of 4 kg/m² and a thickness of about 2.5–5 mm, depending on the series and texture.
