Pletaflex flexible panels — a house on the outskirts
The monolithic geometry of this house is supported by dark cladding with a pronounced stone relief. KORDEKO Volcanic Anthracite covers practically the whole main volume, including the corners, the areas around the large windows and the cantilevered balcony — the uneven play of shades gives the surface depth and keeps the large planes from looking flat or monotonous.
For architecture with strict lines, the precision of the junctions is essential. The panels are fitted to the real dimensions of the openings, follow the building's edges and are installed without a massive metal substructure. A weight of about 4 kg/m² is a clear advantage for the upper levels and the projecting elements, where natural stone would load the base considerably.
Installation was carried out on a stable, levelled and primed base, with frost-resistant facade adhesive suited to dark finishes. Resistance to moisture, frost and UV keeps the colour saturated, and the accentuated texture completes the building's modern, almost industrial character.
