Flexible stone – private house in Vatra
The composition of this house is built on a strong contrast: white volumes, a dark plinth and narrow vertical windows. KORDEKO flexible cladding is concentrated on the lower level — it covers the plinth, the garage level and the surfaces near the entrance steps. The dark stone texture visually defines the base and makes the white volumes above appear lighter.
The most demanding execution details were the junction with the garage door, the external corners, the lower-level windows and the transitions between the projecting volumes. The reduced thickness allows for precise edges without loading the structure or altering the designed geometry. The material was installed on a stable substrate, levelled and primed, using frost-resistant facade adhesive.
The dark finish suits an area exposed to snow, moisture and street dust — beyond the practical protection, it reinforces the modern, graphic character of the entire building.
