Flexible stone facade — private house in Germany
Flexible stone facade — private house in Germany
In winter, the dark texture of this facade becomes even more expressive. KORDEKO Chocolate Rock flexible cladding covers the main walls and the gable, creating a brown-graphite backdrop for the light-coloured window surrounds, cornices and decorative bands — the contrast with the snow highlights the material's relief and the house's well-defined proportions.
The work required precise fitting of the panels around the windows, the entrance door, the balcony and the junctions with the roof. The material is easy to cut to the required size and allows a regular layout, without heavy metal systems. Its low weight limits the load on the walls and the gable — an important advantage for the upper areas.
The substrate was levelled, cleaned and primed, after which a frost-resistant exterior adhesive suited to dark finishes was used. Resistance to snow, moisture, freeze-thaw cycles and UV helps the facade retain its intense colour and neat appearance over the long term.
