Private house in Basarabeasca — flexible stone facade

Area:150 m²
Year:2023

The house combines light-toned stone cladding, white decorative elements and a more substantial plinth in a warm shade — a simple recipe, yet one that works well on a complex building form: a bay window, a balcony, a projecting entrance section and numerous window openings. KORDEKO Slate Beige flexible cladding covers the main facade planes and, through its horizontal arrangement, visually brings order to this otherwise irregular volume.

The most demanding part of the work was around the decorative bands, external corners and the drainage system — areas where the material has to be cut precisely, without heavy fasteners. The panel is easy to work with directly on site, and before installation the substrate is levelled and primed; for the light shade, a frost-resistant white cement-based facade adhesive is recommended.

The plinth, treated separately, protects the area most exposed to splashes and dirt at ground level. The result preserves the classic style of the house and remains practical in any season.
