Flexible stone tiles – private house in Orhei

Area:160 m²
Year:2018

Quiet symmetry and a generous roof give this house a calm, solid appearance. KORDEKO flexible cladding, in a light shade, is applied to the main surfaces, around the windows, in the central entrance recess and on the walls of the lower level — the subtle variations of the mineral texture add depth to the large planes without disrupting the building's symmetry. The black roof and the dark band of the plinth provide the necessary contrast, while the white surrounds unify the windows and doors.

On such a long façade, installation has to be carefully controlled — a regular layout along the entire length of the walls and precise junctions with the pilasters, window sills and central staircase. The material is adjusted directly on site, with no heavy substructures. For the light-coloured finish, a frost-resistant white cement-based façade adhesive was used, on a levelled and primed substrate.

The low weight reduces the load on the walls, while resistance to precipitation, frost and UV keeps the appearance uniform and neat long after installation.
