The barbecue area is designed as a single, unified composition, in which KORDEKO Slate Beige flexible cladding continues from the walls to the niches, countertops and the decorative area above the firebox. The warm stone shade is complemented by dark brown inserts, used as a horizontal band and a central accent — a contrast that works well with the white timber structure of the roof.
The material is well suited to surfaces with many internal corners, recesses and connections to countertops: the sheets cut easily, which allows a precise fit next to the sink, the stove door, the storage niches and the decorative elements. The substrate was levelled, cleaned and primed, and the adhesive was applied evenly with a notched trowel.
KORDEKO is used on the surfaces around the cooking area, not inside the firebox. The finish is practical, easy to maintain and holds up well to the frequent use of a covered terrace.
