Flexible stone facade — house on the outskirts of Durlesti

Area:200 m²
Year:2023

What immediately catches the eye about this house is the simplicity of its palette: white, a deep red roof and a light mineral texture that ties every level of the building into a single surface. KORDEKO flexible cladding covers the main walls, the gable and the entrance area, with no visual breaks between floors — the arched window and the white surrounds remain the elements that "speak" against this calm background.

The work demanded precision around the cornices, columns and roof edges: the material is easy to cut to the exact size, which matters a great deal where the geometry isn't perfectly straight. The substrate was levelled, cleaned and primed before installation, and for a light shade a facade adhesive based on white cement is the right choice, so that the substrate does not affect the final colour.

The low weight of the panels does not overload the walls, while the elastic structure better absorbs the small movements of the masonry. Resistance to moisture, frost and UV radiation means the facade retains its brightness for years on end, without complicated maintenance.
