W06 Ripe Cherry: warm wood texture by KORDEKO with an expressive natural grain

Light-brown W06 Ripe Cherry flexible tiles with wood-grain relief, knots and brown granules
W06 Ripe Cherry is the light-brown model of the WOOD series with coarse brown granules, made for architecture that lacks warmth and visual softness. Where the wood grain works as a rhythm, what to combine W06 with, how to use it locally, indoors and on an insulated facade.

W06 Ripe Cherry is designed for architecture that needs more warmth and visual softness. The wood grain is especially expressive in this texture: long horizontal fibers, visible knots, and natural transitions create the effect of a continuous wooden surface without looking like ordinary boards.

In the current KORDEKO collection, W06 Ripe Cherry belongs to the WOOD series and is designated as a light-brown variant with coarse brown granules. This gives the surface a richer and more textured appearance than the lighter models in the series.

When a facade needs warmth rather than contrast

Ripe Cherry works well where the goal is to make a house feel visually warmer and more inviting.

The light-brown tone is not too dark, yet it has enough depth for the wood texture to remain clearly visible even across a large area. As a result, the facade feels softer and more natural.

W06 is especially appropriate in projects with:

  • terraces;
  • large windows;
  • canopies;
  • natural landscaping;
  • stone elements;
  • dark window frames;
  • light-colored walls.

This material helps connect the house with its surroundings and makes the architecture feel less cold.

Wood grain as part of the composition

The direction of the W06 texture is particularly important.

Long horizontal lines visually stretch the surface and emphasize the length of the wall. Knots and darker areas interrupt perfect uniformity and make the cladding look more natural.

This makes Ripe Cherry especially interesting for:

  • long terrace walls;
  • projecting volumes;
  • entrance areas;
  • balcony areas;
  • walls beneath canopies;
  • horizontal facade inserts.

Here, the texture works not as an ornament but as an independent architectural rhythm.

What to combine with W06 Ripe Cherry

This model has a distinctly warm character, so choosing the neighboring materials correctly is especially important.

Ripe Cherry can look especially expressive next to:

  • white plaster;
  • gray stone;
  • anthracite frames;
  • black metal;
  • glass;
  • light-beige facade surfaces;
  • a dark plinth.

With white, W06 becomes more noticeable and warmer. With gray stone, the composition looks more contemporary. Anthracite and black metal create a strong contrast that emphasizes the wood grain.

It does not have to cover the entire building

W06 has a fairly expressive texture, so there is no need to clad the entire facade with it.

It often works more effectively as a localized material. For example, only the entrance, terrace, or a separate volume of the house can be highlighted. The wood-textured surface then becomes an accent and visually separates one part of the building from another.

Ripe Cherry can be used for:

  • the main entrance portal;
  • a wall by the terrace;
  • columns;
  • a balcony;
  • a facade niche;
  • the area between windows;
  • decorative courtyard walls.

This approach preserves the contemporary geometry of the house while adding a warmer natural element.

W06 in interiors: a wood surface without the feeling of heavy cladding

Ripe Cherry works especially well indoors.

It can be used where an interior needs a wood motif but conventional panels or boards feel too predictable.

W06 is suitable for:

  • a TV area;
  • a wall behind the sofa;
  • a bedroom;
  • a home office;
  • a restaurant;
  • a reception area;
  • a hotel interior;
  • a staircase wall.

Warm lighting strengthens the brown palette, while side lighting emphasizes the lines of the wood relief.

As a result, the same surface can look quite calm during the day and become more expressive and inviting in the evening.

Wood aesthetics in a flexible cladding format

Although W06 visually refers to wood, structurally it is a flexible KORDEKO cladding material. The technical description specifies an approximate weight of 4 kg/m² and a thickness of about 2.5–5 mm, depending on the series and texture.

At the same time, KORDEKO Flexible Tile (PletaFlex) is designed for more than flat surfaces. It can be applied to columns, corners, arches, and other non-standard architectural elements.

This is particularly interesting for the WOOD series: the wood pattern can continue across forms where a traditional rigid panel would require more complicated cutting and fitting.

Ripe Cherry as part of an insulated facade

W06 can also be used in projects where the decorative finish is part of the overall thermal insulation system.

When Facade Insulation is properly installed, Ripe Cherry can serve as the exterior decorative finish. KORDEKO materials describe flexible tile as a cladding option for insulated facade systems.

The general requirements for external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS) are set out in the European assessment documents published by EOTA.

This makes it possible to combine the technical task of insulation with a more complex architectural appearance—for example, making one part of the house stone, another light-colored, and finishing selected volumes with a wood texture.

Why W06 feels warmer than other WOOD models

Ripe Cherry stands out primarily through its atmosphere. The light-brown base, more pronounced pattern, and coarse brown granules create noticeable natural depth.

This model is intended for projects that need added warmth without moving into an overly dark wood palette. It suits both contemporary private homes and interiors where natural aesthetics need to be combined with clean architecture.

Frequently asked questions

Where is W06 Ripe Cherry especially appropriate?
In projects with terraces, large windows, canopies, a natural landscape, stone elements, dark window frames and light walls; the material ties the house to its surroundings and makes the architecture less cold.
What should Ripe Cherry be combined with?
White plaster, grey stone, anthracite frames, black metal, glass, light-beige facade surfaces and a dark plinth. With white, W06 becomes more visible and warmer; with grey stone, the composition looks more modern.
Does W06 need to cover the whole facade?
No. The texture is expressive and often works more strongly locally: on the entrance portal, a wall by the terrace, columns, a balcony, a facade niche, the area between windows or decorative courtyard walls.
